A PLANET OF ADJECTIVES Aspects of reality are not noticed until there is an opposite experienced, at which point the fact of the first state is known for the first time. This holds whether we are talking about mundane particulars of different cities, or in vast systems so large and in place they are taken for granted. The earth's particulars give the it many basic opposites (light/dark, hot/cold, wet/dry) that were essential in the development of intelligences and biologies in the first primitive organisms here. The most primary opposites of this planet are day and night. Caused by the earth spinning on its axis, the sun is basically an enormous strobe light. An early microbe's first context was light and dark. Developing to handle the change in light (as well as hot/cold) conditions had to be accomplished at the most primary level, twice or more every 24 hours. I believe that this was basic to the first cognitive developments leading to primitive life. A planet with a longer day/night cycle would have to have cells that survive over a much longer time, and deal with much greater climatic extremes. COMPLEX INTELLIGENCE THROUGH COMPLEX
