If the earth were tilted more than it is, summers and winters would be more extreme. There would be a greater likelihood of deadly, devastating storms, both wintery bilzzards and tropical mega-hurricanes.

If instead of coming as far north as the Tropic of Cancer on June 21 (as shown), the sun came farther (as it would if the earth had a greater tilt), our summers would be more extreme. Winters would also be more extreme.
