Experiments with pixelated images and commercial billboards viewed from different distances, show that we do not see things in an absolute sense. When we "see" evidence would seem to show that we "sample" data at some resolution, and interpolate in between our "samplings" so as to see continuous reality. The sample resolution is much more "low-res" than most expect, closer to 72 dpi than it is 1 million.

Look at anything close by, you do not see molecules, you see some interpolation of the molecules. Move back and forth from objects. What you see depends on where you are. Put the object under a microscope and see it differently yet again.

The Impressionists were interested in light and perception. This hopes to now add data structure and sampling rate to that discussion.
